Making satellite comms part of the everyday
Inmarsat have long been known for their commercial marine communications technology. But as that technology advanced and became more portable, the business started to wonder if there were other, public, customers out there for them.
IsatHub was their first foray into what for them was a bright, new B2C world. They did their homework and targeted a small community of pioneers: Australia’s grey nomads. These cash rich, time rich people travel in campervans, sampling all the wonders the country have to offer. The only downside to this lifestyle is the loss of family connections – something IsatHub could solve.
Once we had the idea, the campaign wrote itself. We showed them the wonders they travel for, and linked them to prompts that would encourage our audience to contact family.
